The event is a 50km run along the footpaths and roads adjacent to the Gold Coast beachfront, one of the world's most attractive beaches, from Kurrawa to Duranbah and back.
The run course is on either footpath or roadway, not on the beach.
Starts and finishes in Miles Buisson Park, Broadbeach Boulevard, Broadbeach about 400 metres north of the Kurrawa Surf Lifesaving Club. Free car parking is available in the surrounding streets.
These are all on the road or adjoining footpath.
Enter as a member of your Club or group and get your own marquee and refreshments.
Not only are they most welcome, but they are encouraged.
Chip timing is used and places are based on gun time.
Competitors in the longer events are encouraged to carry their own supplies as the weather can be quite warm at this time of year, especially on the return leg. Full aid stations will be positioned at 5 km intervals and will carry water, Endura sports drink, Coca Cola, chopped banana and glucose type lollies.
Intermediate stations carrying water only will be positioned halfway between each of the 5 km aid stations.
The race is conducted during the onset of summer and it's bound to be hot, especially on the return leg. Make sure you are properly hydrated the night before the race, take plenty of water during the race and don't forget to take the Endura sports drink.
Personal refreshements will be dropped at the 10km aid station near Tallebudgerra SLSC (also 40km) and the 25km turnaround at Duranbah. Leave in the box provided at the start precinct.
Finishers' medals will be awarded to all finishers.
