100km Ultra Marathon

Start time 1:00am
This event is an individual or team race over 100km. The course follows the river along predominantly flat bike paths utilising two, 10km loops.  There are six categories to choose from – individual, 2,4,6,8 and 10 person teams.

The aim is for individuals/teams to complete the course by 3pm. Each individual/team is able to plan and strategise as to when they wish to start the event with the aim of crossing the finish line as close to 3pm as possible. We will coordinate any start time you require based on your teams ability. So if you believe your team will complete the 100km in 10 hours then you would start at 5am. Team leaders must inform the Race Director as to their desired start time.

50km Half Ultra Marathon

Start time 7:00am
This event is an individual or team race over 50km.  The course follows the river along predominantly flat bike paths utilising two, 10km loops.  There are five categories to choose from – individual, 2,4, and 5 person teams.  The 50km Ultra has a set start time of 7am.

20km 

Start time: 7:30am
This event is an individual race over 20km. The course follows the river along predominantly flat bike paths utilising two 10km loops.  The  20km has a set start time of 7.30am.

10km 

Start time:  8:00am
This event is an individual race over 10 kilometres. The course follows the river along predominantly flat bike paths.  The10km has a set start time of 8am.

Registration

The registration tent and main waiting area is located at the Riverside Green. Team name and individual details will be held at the registration desk – you will receive waiver and runners bibs when you register. Please arrive in time to meet your start time. All team members do not need to register at the same time – allowing those starting early to turn up first HOWEVER please make sure you are registered well in advance of your own start time for the team.

Presentations

All runners are encouraged to stay on for the Presentation to each category winner at approximately 3.30- 4.00pm.

Waiting Area

Runners are able to use all of the South Bank facilities during the course of the day. The main waiting area is on the Riverside Green. There is also a small playground here for families who wish to watch the event during the course of the day and we will have a small quantity of drinks available for sale during the day.

Start/Finish and Transition Point

The start, finish and transition point for all relay runners is directly in front of the registration tents on the Riverside Green. These will be located along the front of the Clem Jones Promenade.

Timing

All Individual Runners and Teams will have their time recorded. Individual splits for participants running in a team are not recorded. Only the team’s total result will be recorded.

Race results

Results will be submitted to the Australian Ultra Runners Association for any AURA registered ultra-runners.

Race Bibs

Runners must have their race bibs visible at all times.

Masseurs

Professional Masseurs available during the day should you require a tune up. This is a free service.

First Aid

Qualified first aid personnel will be on the course. All water stations have communications back to the main waiting area.
